My story
Seven years ago, I found myself facing my lifelong struggle with weight once again. I thought I could figure it out — after all, I’d been dieting since junior high, and I’m a physician, right? But despite all of that, I couldn’t seem to get it right. I was at my heaviest, my cholesterol was high, and I had just been diagnosed with diabetes — all while raising a young child at home.
That moment marked the beginning of my journey back to health. I felt empowered as I uncovered the science and real reasons behind our struggles with metabolic health. It changed my life so profoundly that I made it my mission to help others, too. Years later, after working with hundreds of patients and being part of their success stories, I’m excited to embark on the next step of my journey: this blog.
